PGCE - Top up
The University of Roehampton have worked with us to provide a PGCE programme for qualified teachers. This is an exciting prospect for our Alumni
- The course is arranged to fit around your existing work commitments, with lectures taking place at the University of Roehampton on weekday evenings and occasional weekend lectures.
- Students undertake two modules during the year. The first examines students understanding of learning and teaching within their professional settings. It offers an opportunity for professionals to engage in critical reflection of their experiences in practice settings and supports them to evaluate the meaning and role of participatory processes within educational practice.
- The second module examines curriculum leadership. It aims to help you think deeply about the structure and content of the curriculum/s in your school or setting and how you might lead on redesigning them to enhance children’s learning.
- There are two masters level modules worth 60 credits in total which is a third of a 180 credit Masters Degree. The School of Education at Roehampton offers a range of Masters Level courses should you wish to take your study further as part of your continuing professional development.
For the academic year 2019-20 the fee will be £2,000. The University of Roehampton degree alumni will get a 20% discount.
